1. Tactile dome itself dirty:  change to the clean metal dome(brown rust stains or white spots are tactile dome dirt;

2. Tactile dome collection table or the vibration plate are dirty: the work surface need to be cleaned before the production process;

3. Stamping die dirty itself: the stamping dies need to be cleaned before production (usually is grease.);

4. Electrical inspection process dirty: clean before working (usually oil);

5. Protective film composition problems caused dome array pollution: choose better quality protective film (usually white spots minor impurities);

In our industry, I think you can hear “Dead key of metal dome“, but what does this mean, do you know?

Dead key of metal dome is that when you press the metal dome to contact PCB board, the metal dome can’t rebound to original state. Generally speaking is that you press down but can’t rebound back. This is for metal dome as a switch function is deathful.

Dead key of metal dome is happened mainly due to too high travel in designing, when the travel is too high, it is easy to be caused the phenomenon of death key. Also, there may be reaching its expected life, reduce the rebound force, then happen dead key phenomenon.

How to peel off the dome array?

Normally, when we make the finished dome array, then how to peel off the dome array from the sheet rightly?

The right way is to use the forceps or other tooling to peel off the dome array from the protective film, please don’t use the hand. If you use hand to peel off, you will stain the adhesive on the behind of dome array, then it won’t stick on the printed circuit boards firmly. Please aslo make sure the circuit boards no stain,dust,dirt.
